Yesterday, as I was cleaning the ashes out of the wood cook stove, I began to wonder if there are people who would like to know how to do this. It involves removing the top plates and sweeping out the ashes then, using a special scraper tool designed for cleaning out the stove, getting the ashes from the bottom. If anyone out there would like me to post articles on “how to” items such as this, please let me know. There are many things we do here every day that may be of interest as we do our own gardening, canning, jelly making, soap making, cure our own meat, etc.
